Black Mud

The medicinal and esthetic miracles of the Black Mud

Millions of years ago, when the Earth passed for deep morphologic transformations, the surface of the planet saw to appear volcanos. These craters opened in the ground had left as inheritance, in Peruíbe, a true treasure: the Black Mud. The substance, called crenológic clay is rich in curativas properties. After successive analyses in the most famous laboratories of the country it was arrived the definitive conclusion of that the characteristics of the Black Mud are similar to the found ones in the Sea Dead. Viscous, of dark color and strong sulphur odor, its chemical composition mixes salty water with organic substance, that appears in abundance in the left edge of the Black River. The exploration of the mud had its apogee in the decade of 60, but it was interrupted in 1993, due to vision of the old administrators of the city. Applied on the skin, the mud has some possibility of medicinal use, being indicated in the dermatological and rheumatic treatment. With 100 meters of depth and occupying an area of 10 hectares, the deposit will have to supply the public net of health of the city, beyond the therapeutical market. Already the license for the industrialization of the product has great cosmetic companies disputing, one of the reasons that confer the Peruíbe the heading of "CITY Of ETERNAL YOUTH".
